This workshop will facilitate a discussion of fact versus emotional truth in memoir and how to build narratives through conflict and tension to create urgency. We will look at examples of successful memoirs that use voice in different ways for effective story-telling and reflection. Participants will have an opportunity to draft new work with writing prompts to inspire novice writers as well as advanced writers to strengthen their craft.
