Break it Down, Make It better. is a series of collaborative discussions hosted at the UICA and supported in partnership with Avenue for the Arts and ArtPrize.
Join us for a Break it Down, Make it Better. conversation for artists, curators, and venue coordinators. Learn to set appropriate expectations for your venue or artists and presenting artwork. We will explore the tools to design a great looking art show, the importance of artist and curator communications, and best practices for artists, curators and sites.
The conversation will be facilitated by Kevin Buist, featuring curator Chris Protas, and Artist Lisa Ambrose.
The conversation will take place at 307 South Division on September 5th, beginning at 5:30. Free to Avenue for the Arts members and Artprize venue representatives, online registration opens August 1st. The public is invited to attend, the non-member fee is $35. Space is limited and it is highly recommended that attendees register in advance by visiting: www.avenueforthearts.com/education
